Roadtrip to Koh Samed : Day two

Gooood mooorniiing!! Next day on a sunny Sunday it couldn't have started any better. My girlfriend gave me a call and told me that she's finally able to join me on the island and she's already on the way from Bangkok to make this weekend complete!! The weather was so perfect the sun was shining, the sky was clear, the wind blew softly and I could feel the breez touching my skin. Such a great atmosphere. Nothing was actually planned ahead on that day but you know good things happen when it's unplanned :)
When Choco has arrived ofcourse first thing was to eat hahaha We eat almost every hour :p So far everything turned out so well
This is the scenery right in front of my room. I had my breakfast and spent my morning here. Imagine chilling on a hammock facing this beautiful view! I have to say that this is one of my most favourite spots in Thailand.
I was just hanging there....reading and revising for my final exams. With this scenery and it was just right. :)
The photo was taken from the main road in Koh Samed and it is the "center" area. Restaurants, 7 elevens, bars and little shops along the way. Koh Samed is not a crowded island or any super popular tourist destination. When walking around the main road I can hear mostly  scandinavian tourists speaking. Feels like home! :P There is also a Bar-restaurant-hostel called "Papa Rogers" which is owned by a Finnish guy and I visit there every time I come here. Should check it out!
At the main pier. Went to pick up Choco.

Choco arrived during the midday, saved my weekend :)
Ursula from an original tale called "Pra Apaimanee" written by a famous Thai poet Sunthorn Phu (Thai Shakespeare, about a decade ago)  blessing the Island.
The best and cheap way to get around Koh Samed island is to rent moped. One day cost around 300thb (8euro) and its totally worth of renting it because you can explore the island easily by your own. The road on the island is very good, very developed.
Teached choco how to ride a bike and got my self a driver :)
In Koh Samed there are tens of quiet beaches and we visited almost all of them just in one day! Quick stop at each place and keep on going :)

Choco <3 MK (The Art) :P
     Choco's most favorite beach!
.....on the way back... Spidey spidey

Watching the sun set at the top of the mountain. What a beautiful sunset view.
When the sun goes down and the stars come out ;)
Started out as best friends. Ten months of friendship made us realized that the best is right in front of us :)

After spending an amazing day in the sun around the island, we got ready for the night. It was time for PUB CRAWL!!
First stop at the bar on white silver sand beach. Live band was playing, and the atmosphere were Beach chill!! Ordered long island vase for 250 and another gin tonic. Tonight it was all about having fun and get wasted!

Next stop at this dope club called "Naga Bar".

Trance inside!!!
After buckets of cocktails, it was no doubt that the level of alcohol in our blood has been reached to the max plus the music from the DJ booth was just totally kicked in! Surprisingly, there were no one on the dance floor like no one was dancing at all!???? We felt like we should do something. So yea, we opened the dance floor and suddenly people started to stand up and dance. Now that felt more like a party! The bar got us some neon paint so as you can see we've made another work of art. ;) This is what happen when we go out, bringing the whole club to the ceilings.
Choco just couldn't stop dancing! Turnt  up all the way!!!

Roadtrip to Koh Samed : Day One

It's weekend again so, I woke up pretty late around midday on Saturday. Once I got up, I suddenly had an idea just to get on my bike and ride away. It was time for a ROADTRIPPP!!! Destination my favourite island, Koh Samed.
MK ready to ride
Set the Navigator to Rayong pier, 200km for the distance to arrival. Before hitting on the road I had to fuel up my bike. Got full tank just for less than 10euros and it lasted there and back with one tank. Convenient!
Roads in Thailand are surprisingly very good, didnt need to slow down at any time due to conditioned road. Traffic was smooth, weather was perfect, I really enjoyed the whole ride. Especially when riding pass the mountains, definetly catches an eye!
Arriving to the rayong pier after 200km ride. The smell of the sea and the sound of the wave got me so excited! Arms burned already.
Chicken salad before jumping on the ferry to the island.
Chicken salad + smoothie mix, mmm!
To get to the island, most convenient way is to get on one of these ferrys. The ride costs 50thb=1euro and it takes about 30-40minutes to arrive in Koh Samed, the ferrys leave every hour until 5pm. After that you can only get to the island by renting a speedboat which would cost about 200-300 per person depend on how many people would want to share a boat with you.
While chilling on the rooftop I met some new friends studying and living in Bangkok, just like me, escaping the city for the weekend.
Chilling on the deck, catching some Vitamin D.
"Ahooy, I CAN SEE THE LAND!!"
"If you keep waiting the for perfect time it will never be perfect. So, just go ahead and make it f*cking happen!! " - that was the feeling I had while sailing to the sunset, magical :)
    Koh Samed the main pier.
Everytime I come to this island, I always stay in this resort.
With just 500 thb (10euro) a night, you get room like this with an exclusive full beach view! I think they could easily charge thousands for this.

How to spent a perfect day in Bangkok city

Started the day with our little tradition BACON & EGGS. Who doesn't love bacon and eggs though? Well, not anyone that I know doesn't. It was kinda lazy weekend for us but White Yolk is still very discipline with his eating habit. Meal prep Sunday. He did it well!

First thing to do in morning
Fitwheys mealprep box as in daily use !

After weeks of busy school schedule, final project submissions and final exam prep, we thought that it would be nice to take a little break before final exam season start. We were in need of some “Vitamin Sea” but unfortunately that has to wait. Hurrrrr as we all know life of the city kids.... Anyway, White Yolk came with a place where we can relax to the fullest. Hopped to the car and off we drove to Hotel Hilton Millennium Bangkok! It was quite a long drive but trust me it was worth it. With White Yolk things can always get exciting, crazy, and out of this world! We sneaked in to the hotel's pool bar with style. Then just chillaxed (It was White Yolk's idea but Choco is always in for that)
How lucky we both are
Sometime life's about breaking the rules. The weather was really good that day. The sun was shining bright, we got us a private jacuzzi (thank God it wasn't full). Even if we didn't get Vitamin Sea but we wouldn't say no to Vitamin City breeze at Hilton
Life gives, life takes :)
Cant find any other city like Bangkok. Falling in love with this city again and again!

After spending a luxurious time at the hotel, Choco found a great restaurant deal on an application called Eatigo where it offered us 10% discount on meals after we've made a reservation. We both went for Mediterranean cuisine well, cuz Lamb Gyros was right there on the recommended dish list.
Stuck in traffic for a while but the views helped to keep calm
We went to a restaurant called Olive which is the only Greek restaurant in town that serves very homey Greek dishes. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Gives a very home like feeling. The food was DELICIOUS!! WE LOVE IT! and people there were very friendly.
The food was DELICIOUS!! WE LOVE IT! and people there were very friendly. Definitely will go back again !!

Lamb Gyros mmm
Choco had to try out restaurants signature sangria

So, after all the day went fantastic. Can do this over and over again!

Simple night and a magical city night ride

Sunday fun day! It was actually a pretty busy weekend for Choco was trying to get things done and it took pretty much the whole day since Saturday till Sunday but! We all need a little break from our busy schedule especially on the weekend!! Later on a Sunday evening we got a call from our friend about this weekend flea market. Well, why not check it out right? So, we hopped on the bike and off we go to check out the market.

Headed from White Yolk's place it took about 30 minutes ride to the market which located near Punnaviti BTS station. It was a good choice that we took the bike cuz damn! The traffic around that area was pretty jammed. Anyway, when we arrived first thing first, we needed to eat. Walked straight to the food section and wow! There were actually many food trucks, trolly and food stands everywhere. It took us almost 30 minutes to actually decided where to stop for a quick dinner. So many quality food. Some of them came from a very well known restaurant in the centre of Bangkok like Oyster Bar etc.

The market gave a really cozy, chill family atmosphere. It turned out to be a great Sunday evening after all! Bangkok is a city full of lights, there are so many things to see, do and experience. A city with diverse cultures. Trust me, you will never get bored here ;)
Concert with live bands in the market giving a relax/ friendly atmosphere.
The sitting area giving the chill countryside/ farm vibe.
Standing hotdog!! 1 for 80 BHT or 2 Euro! How cool is this idea! But I think he needs a portable fan tho lol
Our meal. Of course White Yolk would go for Pork Chop :P
The weather is kind of warm so why not have a cup of nice cold cocktail ;)
They really recommended Choco to try out their "Pignature" cocktail. Well, Brick house cobbler it is :D
How fancy is this ! It has a mixture of chocolate rum ;))))))) see why Choco chose it? :P
This cocktail house is called The Third Pig. Nice concept! Their actual cocktail bar is at the a Weekend market or AKA Chatuchak Weekend market. Should drop by sometimes ! ;)
Since White Yolk couldn't drink alcohol, a fresh cup of coconut water would do too! Definitely a great choice for refreshment ;) This is only for 40 BHT (1Euro)
Really enjoyed the atmosphere there. It was not too crowded. Just wonderful :)
On the way back from the market, we made a stop at the airport. Actually this was at the back of the airport it was the runway zone. Look at the scenery! It was just breath taking. We LOVE planes and night lights like this.
Full moon shining bright. Seriously, it was very romantic. Imagine riding a bike on an empty road at night with such a nice scenery. Couldn't get any better!!
Moonlight illuminated. The beauty side of a busy airport.
    Bangkok never sleeps!
